How to Use and Poke Pin: Easy Way to Style the Double Leaf Poke Pin

I’ve done a few demos of poke pins (this is what I call them, but I don’t know what the actual/traditional name of this style hair pin is! If you know, please tell me. Maybe I’ll start a thing and have to trademark the name, ha!), but not yet with this beaut: the Double Leaf Poke Pin from the Verdant Collection.

The two brass leaves as a loop give structure and support to the hairpin, and for that reason, it’s super easy to use and it holds a lot of hair. This style takes, no joke, a minute to do! You will be turning head with your head of hair.

For this style:

  1. twist your hair up and hold it to your head with one hand.

  2. take the leafy loop and place it over your pile of hair.

  3. Take the stick and find the outside corner of the leaf with the tip.

  4. Slide the stick into your hair along your scalp under the bun, and pop it out the other side. The stick should go leaf point to leaf point.

And boom! A show-stopping hairstyle that took literally a minute. Nothing beats that! Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
