How to Measure Your Head for SKJ Headpieces

NEW COLLECTION DROPS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21!

New SKJ headpieces are made-to-measure. You provide the measurement, and I will custom-make the headband to fit your head!

When you place your order for a headband, a custom form will request your head measurement. This tutorial will walk you through exactly how to take that measurement.

The measurement I need is the distance around the back of the head from the top of your ears (where glasses sit).

Here are two ways to measure your head for the backwards headband:

OPTION 1: The String Method

Use a piece of string to measure the distance between your ears around the back of your head.

  1. Hold one end of the string at the top of your ear where it joins your face.

  2. Wrap the string around the back of your head. Pull it secure and find where the string meets the top of your opposite ear.

  3. Hold the string tightly where it met the top of your ear and cut the string.

  4. Measure the string with a ruler in inches or centimeters. The string length should be the measurement required!

OPTION 2: Tape Measure

Use a flexible tape measure to measure the distance between the tops of your ears around the back of your head. Record the length in inches or centimeters.

IMPORTANT: Be as precise as possible! It’s a good idea to measure 2-3 times to ensure you’ve measured accurate.

Please note that these pieces will be NON-REFUNDABLE as they are custom-made to fit your head according to your provided measurement.
