Don't lose your hoops! How to secure the Gourd Hoops

The gourd Hoops are some of my all-time best-sellers because they are super lightweight and effortless to wear. Who doesn’t love a hoop? And this voluptuous, lucky gourd shape is a fun twist on a classic hoop— one of my favorite designs to make and I wear them all the time myself!

I designed these hoops, and the large slash hoops, with a built-in clasp. They are super easy to secure so that you don’t lose a hoop!

Here’s how:

• Gently pull the hoop open. Once the ear wire is out of the hole at the back side of the hoop, you can open the gap laterally to slip the ear wire through your piercing.

• Once the ear wire is through your piercing, close the earring with two hands, clicking the ear wire back into the hole in the back of the hoop.

Avoid misshaping the hoop by prying it too far apart! Lateral motion when opening is key to maintaining the unique hoop shape.
