2025 Jewelry Trend Report, Part 1

I’ve been seeing a lot of 2025 “In/Out” lists on social media. Among my favorite “Ins” this year is Digital Detoxing (I left my phone at the studio by accident yesterday so I tried a one-night Digital Detox– 10/10, would recommend!).

A good “Out” I saw was Streaming Services. My first reaction was to scoff, but it was already on my own list to cut back on mindless TV and intentionally work through movies I’ve wanted to see.

These trend forecasts for 2025 got me curious— what’s “in” for jewelry in 2025? Here is Part I of my findings.

1.

Colored Gemstones

Add pops of color to your outfit with colorful gemstones. Particularly on-trend are blue and green stones, but you can’t go wrong!

2.

Cuffs

I have made cuffs in the past, but much more delicate than what I am observing for 2025. Try different materials, big statement cuffs, stack ‘em up, or slide a cuff up to wear on your upper arm.

A jeweler I admire (and a fellow Carleton College alum), Ariana Boussard-Reifel makes some killer cuffs.

3.

Artisanal Jewelry

Um, helloooo! This is me all over because I literally make every piece of jewelry by hand. You are here, so hopefully this is already important to you. Special focus in 2025 on one-of-a-kind pieces.

4.

Chunky Silver

Good news, because I started exploring this in my work! Gold will never go out of fashion, but big and bold silver is back, baby.

5.

Snake Motifs

2025 is the Year of the Snake, according to the Chinese Zodiac. Snakes are deeply symbolic across cultures, but in Zodiac terms, the Snake represents wisdom, intuition, and charm.

I hope you feel inspired to try out these jewelry trends in 2025! I’ll continue with Part II of the Jewelry Trend Report on Friday.
