Summer wedding season is coming up, and with the pandemic pushing for a lot of rescheduled weddings, my season is fully booked. I will definitely be wearing this elegant yet easy ‘do to least one special celebration this summer!

I am using my Chrysocolla Hairslide in this look, but you can use any hairslide of your choice. You will also need a hair elastic.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Make a low loop bun by not pulling your hair all the way through your ponytail. Keep the ends hanging out long.

  2. Braid the ends that hang out from the bun. If you have extra slippery hair, you can secure the end of the braid with another elastic.

  3. Holding the bun secure in one hand, wrap the braided end around the base of the bun where the elastic is. Tuck the ends under the braid.

  4. Take the hairslide and insert into the braid at the top. I like to go in on a diagonal. Slide the hairpin through the base of the bun. For extra security, the tines of the pin should slide in close to your scalp, under where the elastic is holding the bun.

  5. Scrunch and pull the looped bun to secure and give it some volume.

That’s it! Cute, no? Will you give it a try?
