The Simple Braided Bun
Part one of a series of braided looks with SKJ hair accessories!
First up: the simplest, no-fuss braided bun.
I’ve gotten compliments on this look which is so incredibly simple it’s downright ridiculous.
Protip: If you’ve been struggling to secure a hairpin in your hair with a regular bun, try a braid first! The braid helps hold the hair all together tightly, reducing slippage.
Here’s how it’s done:
Put your hair in a long braid. You can secure the end with an elastic if you wish, but it’s certainly not required! The end will be tucked away anyway.
Coil your hair into a spiral bun.
Secure with a hairslide by inserting the tines at the side of the bun, through the braid. Point the tines toward your scalp, then as you slide the pin deeper into the bun, graze the ends along your scalp. Pop the pin ends out the other side of the bun.
The braid helps hold the bun nice and tight.
