Braided Up-do with the Double Leaf Poke Pin
I’ve done this tutorial before, but it goes with the series. Here is another example of a braided updo look, this time using the Double Leaf Poke Pin!
As with the other styles in the Long Braid Series, the braid really helps to hold the hair up, especially if you struggle to use hairpins because of slippery textured hair.
Here’s what you gotta do:
Braid your hair.
Fold the braid up onto your head, tucking the ends under the braid. I didn’t secure my braid with an elastic, but you can if that helps!
Using one hand to hold the braid to your head, take the double leaf “cage” and place over the braid.
Take the stick and find the outside corner of the leaf with the tip. Slide the stick into your hair along your scalp under the braid, and pop it out the other side. The stick should go leaf point to leaf point.
Very quick, very easy, very much style.
Try this look with other Poke Pin styles! If you have shorter or finer hair, try the Simple Poke Pin or the Squiggle Poke Pin.
