Braided Top Knot with Small Crux Barrettes

There’s been a lot of enthusiasm for the new Crux Collection, especially for these new barrettes! Thank you! You’ve been asking to see them in action, and I’m happy to oblige.

Here’s a super simple way to style them with a high bun. I did a braided bun because, full disclosure: I slept in this braid, woke up and couldn’t be bothered to do anything else (thus all the wispies that needed taming with some barrettes!).

FOR THE TOP KNOT: I am using the perle hairslide (just restocked!).

Wrap braid around to form a bun; secure with the hairslide by inserting tines through the braid on the side of the bun, turning the pin sideways, then sliding it into the bun.

BARRETTES:

Pretty self explanatory! They slide in like bobby pins. Use as many or as few as you like to create a cute look. I’ll have to make more and do a bunch all around my head next time.
